We are currently seeking an ophthalmologist for a well-functioning and forward-thinking clinic in southwest Sweden. About the clinic

The clinic provides modern eye care for patients of all ages. You will work in a competent and dedicated team with access to up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The role offers broad exposure across general ophthalmology while also allowing room to develop within specific areas of interest.

The clinic’s focus areas include

• General ophthalmology
• Pediatric ophthalmology
• Diagnosis and follow-up of diabetic retinopathy
• Glaucoma management and chronic eye care
• Neurological and inflammatory eye conditions
• Cataract assessments and the possibility of performing cataract surgery if qualified

The clinic is known for its strong team spirit, low staff turnover, and well-structured collaboration between physicians, optometrists, nurses, and support staff.

Your role

As a specialist in ophthalmology, your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing, treating, and following up on a wide range of eye conditions
• Collaborating actively with other healthcare professionals in the team
• Supervising and mentoring residents

Contributing to the development of clinical practices and care processes

Qualifications

• EU-recognized specialist certification in ophthalmology
• Minimum of two years of experience as a specialist
• Good communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team

Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approach
