On behalf of municipalities in the Vestland region in Western Norway, we are recruiting registered nurses for permanent full-time positions within local healthcare services.

Vestland is a well-known region on Norway’s west coast, famous for its fjords, mountains and beautiful coastline. The municipalities have a continuous need for qualified nurses in both home care services and nursing homes, where you will play an important role in providing safe and reliable care to patients of all ages.

These positions offer a stable job, a meaningful everyday working life and good opportunities for professional development within the Norwegian public healthcare system. You will work in well-organised teams that focus on cooperation, clear routines and high professional standards.

Your responsibilities

• Clinical nursing in home care, nursing homes or assisted living facilities
• Observation, assessment, medication management and accurate documentation
• Follow-up of patients with diverse medical conditions and functional levels
• Collaboration with relatives, coordinating units and external partners
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with doctors, therapists and other health professionals
• Contributing to service development, improvement work and quality assurance

Most of the available roles are within core municipal services, particularly home nursing and long-term care. Here, you will play a key role in the daily follow-up of patients, whether providing support in their homes or offering comprehensive care in an institutional setting.

Depending on your background and interests, you may also be considered for roles in other municipal healthcare services, such as assisted living facilities, public health clinics or GP practices. This gives you the opportunity to grow in different directions and contribute where your skills are most valuable.

We are looking for nurses who

• Hold a valid license as a nurse from an EU/EEA country
• Is motivated to obtain Norwegian authorisation (we assist with the process)
• Speak fluent English and are highly motivated to learn Norwegian
• Are willing to complete our free Norwegian language course
• Feel confident in their clinical skills and can manage varied and unpredictable situations
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Holds a driver’s license (preferred)
